Despite last year’s
heavy rain leaving many outdoor occasions all washed up, events companies still
managed to showcase innovative temporary structures that left a permanent impression
upon crowds.
From the stunning
inflatable screens used for outdoor film screenings and the Olympics to the
unveiling of exciting new products such as the Sensu Pavilion, visitors to many
events last year were treated to some of the latest advances in design and
technology.
UK-based inflatable structures company, Evolution Dome, showcased many of its innovative designs at
a series of events and festivals all over the world in 2012. And, in 2013,
company director Ashley Austin and his team plan to keep crowds comfortable while
pushing design boundaries even more.
He says: “Thanks to
the technology behind 21st century inflatables, it’s now possible to
provide air-supported temporary structures for almost any occasion.
“The incredible
screens used for the outdoor screenings in Cornwall and London are a great
example of this – not only are they capable of projecting films to huge
audiences, they can also do so in stunning HD.
“Likewise, the
Sensu Pavilion is a masterpiece of innovation – something which we too aim to
include in all our new designs. This amazing product, developed by Tectoniks in
Shropshire, takes its inspiration from a Japanese folding fan (or Sensu) and,
once expanded, can easily span more than 10,750 square feet of floor
space.
“Evolution Dome
also has a similar dedication to temporary structures and works hard to deliver
cost-effective air-supported buildings that never fail to impress. We showcased
our new range at an expo in Belgium towards the end of last year and many visitors
said they were blown away by our bespoke designs and versatile products.”
